Hey guys, im currently looking for a good monitor to pair with an RTX 3060 which im going to buy when it comes out. The RTX 3060 is going to be at least on par with the RTX 2080 GPU and I have found some monitor options available in my country. The first one is a 3440x1440, HDR, 144Hz, Free-Sync Monitor (Gigabyte G34WQC) and the other one is a 2560x1080, HDR, 200Hz, G-Sync Monitor (Armaggeddon Pixxel+ XC 30 WHD).

I know that the RTX 3060 is going to be the perfect GPU for 3440x1440 Very High Setings, giving out at least 60 to 90 FPS. Is it worth to sacrifice G-Sync and get the higher definition 1440p Ultrawide or go with G-Sync 1080p Ultrawide, which goes up to 200Hz?

Does Free-Sync work with Nvidia GPUs, in case i go with the Free-Sync 3440x1440?

Solution
Free-sync works with nvidia.

As for the resolution, it really depends on what kind of games you play.

Also, the 3060 is really going to be a 1440p monitor (2560x1440, not 3440x1440 which is betweem 1440p and 4k.)
The difference between 144hz and 200hz is almost non existent for mere mortal eyes.

so either is fine, but just know that the 3060 is not going to be a very capable 3440x1440p card, getting 50-70 fps on high in most modern triple a games.

The RXT 3070 just came out and im thinking of buying it when the price comes down to 500 bucks. Do you know when it might actually go down to the original price tag?
