Question 2TB Drive "Full" but only 400GB is used.

Hey all. Is there a good way to see what may be taking up HDD space? Supposedly out of a 1.81TB drive, only 9.51MB is free! There is no way that it can be full. I went to properties on each folder within the drive and calculated that only around 400GB is actually being used. It is a secondary drive, with no OS installed on it, if I remember correctly. It is not a shared drive across a network either. This is on a Windows 7 64-bit OS. Thank you for your help or recommendations.

Have you tried partitioning the drive? X amount of space on that drive may be reserved for other reasoning. I'd start with partitioning followed by formatting the drive.

Anyways, Run WinDirstat in admin mode and host a screenshot of it to your favorite hosting site and link us to it please.

Run as Administrator, selecting only the drive in question.

Just adding up what you see in File Explorer leaves off a LOT of stuff.
