I'm thinking of replacing my gigabyte 2.4GHz AirCruiser G PCI Adapter at 54Mbps with a 300Mbps usb Rosewill adapter:

In order to make room for a new sound card (Probably Xonar DG).
So I guess my question is, which is best usb wifi or pci wifi? Should I go with a usb adapter or a usb soundcard? I do a lot of gaming too so keep that in mind.
I know the numbers say the usb adapter should be better but when it comes to wireless networking I'm a complete new-b
