You have to check available options in your motherboard BIOS.
It may allow manual DRAM configuration.
Still won't go higher than 2933mhz.

My mobo doesn't support xmp ...and yet my current ram runs at 2666mhZ
So..without xmp I could still achieve 2933mhz ? I just don't want to waste money that's allYou have to check available options in your motherboard BIOS.

That's bizzare - there's literally not even one setting dedicated to ram/memory in the biosCan you check available dram configuration options in BIOS?
If possible, make screenshots and show here.

This means only modes listed in SPD table (written in dram) will be available.
Can you show cpu-z - memory and spd sections with your current ram?

Basically - if I buy any other ram that's not on the list I would automatically only get 2133mhz ? Like this : https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-VENG...n&qid=1726172314&sprefix=,aps,188&sr=8-3&th=1When talking prebuilts from large OEMs I tend to check Crucial to see if they have compatibility. While you won't necessarily end up with something as fast as an off the shelf it will usually work correctly. If your system doesn't support XMP (which I'm pretty sure yours does not) then buying DRAM gets really tricky due to needing JEDEC SPD timings which XMP kits rarely have over 2133.
You should be able to get these modules elsewhere, but can use this so you can match model numbers:

In my experience with XMP kits that's likely to be the case. The only modules I would bet on having multiple higher JEDEC SPD timings coded would be 3200 JEDEC kits.Basically - if I buy any other ram that's not on the list I would automatically only get 2133mhz ?
cl22 though ... Isnt 16 and less , recommended ? All of this headache because of the motherboard smhIn my experience with XMP kits that's likely to be the case. The only modules I would bet on having multiple higher JEDEC SPD timings coded would be 3200 JEDEC kits.
Something like this would probably work as well since it's not an XMP/EXPO kit: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HLZ2P7M
If you can't run XMP and cannot change your memory settings that means you're stuck with JEDEC timings. These are JEDEC timings so while yes lower is better you do not have a choice in the matter.cl22 though ... Isnt 16 and less , recommended ? All of this headache because of the motherboard smh
