the default settings of the bios are pushing the cpu to 1.4 voltt at idle wich is crazy
im using my own fan curve instead of perfomance mode the curve is loud even tough the cpu is hot with core perfomance boost enabled and with no CPB or PBO it gives an idle oof 47 degat static speed of 3.59 ghz
Just invest in better cooler, those OEM are barely enough. If it's static frequency at 3.9GHz on all cores,that's nowhere close to idle, at true idle all cores but one or two would be in sleep mode and those active around max 1GHz.
i managed to lower the idle to 46 deg but with loosing alot of perfomance running the cpu at max of 3.5 ghz and using only 6 cores the problem is my fan curve has a minimuim of 65% at 40 deg idk how the cpu is not reaching 30 deg
its 1 to 2 percent of usage and most cores shown as sleep on ryzen master also when gaming some intense cpu games the cpu max temp is 55 deg to 60 at max lol even with Cinebensh r20 it reach an temp of 65 at max so idk why t he idle is 47 and with CPB its 65 at idle
fixed nothing i was thinking to roll back to bios verion im now on L3.41 [Beta] ive tried L3.40 but fixed nothing so im planning to roll back to somthing like P2.30 or trying windows 10 bcs windows 11 keep the cpu freq at 3.5 fix
What about power settings in Control panel ? Is it set to balanced or power saving ? Try setting minimum CPU power state to 5% or lower.
afther installing win10 the cpu idle at 47 deg wich is way better than old 64 deg idk why but there another crazy thing im using 4 dimms of ram 4gb +4gb micron 2400 mhz dim +8gb crucial 3200 mhz + 8gb samsung 3200 mhz so 24 gb at total running all of them at speed of 3200 and timing of cl22 in bios ,afther removing the 2 micron dimms and running only with both samsung and crucial 3200mhz the cpu temp droped to 37 deg at idle and 70 underload idk how even this is related to cpu but just fixed this anyway
Those "Fixes" are just lowering performance but are not even necessary or fixable with better performance by using better cooler. Max temps at high, continuous loads are way more important.
im planning to get an deepcool ak620 its cheaper here and gives some good cooling perfomance but there is somthing wierd my cpu boost to 1.431V with stock bios settings even tough i set PBO from auto to disabled
its idle the cpu is boosting to these speed on idle with no app open and yes also there is no BG tasks as i modify my windows so it keep cleanwith only 60 proccess in task manager im not comfortable with these temps at idle
it does with PBO off voltage is very low on both idle and underload but wehn PBO enabled voltage boost to 1.4V so it does
