3pin Power led but 2 pin motherboard

so all the other pins fit nicely but I am left with a 3 pin power led but only 2 pins for it

Your case has 3pin power LED? I have never seen a computer case which has 3 pin for power LED.

If you are sure...can you just use 2 pin (left 1 pin un-used)?

yes I am sure I just pulled the wire out and stuck in the empty space next to it and it worked.
