I have a new 4080 Rog Strix which I installed in my MSI B650 Gaming wifi motherboard.
When booting I only have a black screen. I get the sound and hear that windows is loaded.
The red led next to the power cable at the graphic card is NOT red (only when switched off).

LEDs and fans are running from the graphic card.

What do i have:

  • Rog Strix 4080 Super (completely new)
  • MSI B650 Gaminig Wifi Plus
  • 850 Watt be quiet! Pure Power 12 M Modular 80+ Gold
  • Windows 11
  • DDR5
  • Amd ryzen 7 7800x3d
What did i try and didnt help:

  • Reset in safe mode with DDU
  • Newest Bios Update (also Later ones), also one from 2023
  • CMOS reset
  • Switched display port Cables
  • Switched to HDMI
  • Replaced it in PCIE Slot
  • Tried different cables for power (I have 600w on 600w cable with my be quiet power supply)
    • the adapter which is beside the graphic card (600w on 3 power supply cables) is not working for me because i have 2 pcie and only 1 pcie 5.0 600w slot. Thats why i m using the 600w on 600w cable (from bequiet beside)
  • checked if every cable is sitting in its position
  • Switched to 1000w power Supply
  • Run PCIE with 4x (not on auto)
  • New Install of Windows
When i switch back to my 7900 XTX its working fine.
I also can run with the onboard graphics.

Put the latest one and let it be a beta

Yes I have this installed

AMD Chipset Drivers

I think your power supply also has adapters for the 4080, so I would say try the card on another computer, but I think it's a motherboard-bios-graphic card issue
I think the Same because nothing helps. And there are other people on Reddit posting same issues with the combination, But already a year ago … thats weird.
