Yesterday I bought a brand new TV to use as third monitor, thing is that yesterday everything worked fine, the screen is properly configured, HDMI is on 2.1 and yesterday I had all the resolutions available on windows screen configurations and on NVIDIA control panel, with the capability of enable or disable HDR, I tried a few games, tested a few movies, no problems at all, thing is that I turned off everything, TV and PC and today when I turned on my computer, all the resolutions above 1080p were gone and HDR option is unavailable again, and I do not understand what's causing this issue

I'm currently running Windows 11 and the screen is connected to my RTX 2060 along with another monitor, and a second monitor on the igpu

Yesterday everything was working fine

EDIT: idk if it's important but I'm using an HDMI to DP adapter, but again yesterday it worked fine and the screen is working now but it's missing some settings

the quality of the adapter and the cable both have a lot to do with the bandwidth available for higher resolutions and/or HDR.

whether they worked previously or not,
for a consistent higher bandwidth like you're using make sure you are using higher quality connections.

test re-seating cables and adapter on each end,
try without an adapter,
and try different cables altogether.

if you notice they want to intermittently work it's probably an issue with manufacturing quality.

Okay, indeed it was a faulty adapter, here's what I did and how I solved it:

the new adapter I bought doesn't work at all, resolutions and HDR do not work, and if I open any game no matter how many screens I have connected, the display starts to connect and disconnect and it won't stop until I force close the game task or I reboot the PC, So I did try the old adapter again, the old adapter was supposed to handle only 1080p 60Hz so that's why it was working fine but then some resolutions and hdr were gone, I don't know exactly why at first it did work but it wasn't supposed to do it, so what I finally did was using that adapter with one of my monitors, so I have the two of em connected right into the GPU, the only downside is that I can't go over 60Hz on the second one because it's using the HDMI-DP adapter, but I don't really care cause I don't play in that screen so is not a problem, and for the TV, I just connected the HDMI right into the IGPU so now, without any adapters, all the resolutions show up and HDR is working properly, did some tests with movies, and games and everything was working great! so thank you a lot ghost!

PD: I miss the old days when all GPUs used HDMI connectors instead of Display Port.
