500TB MP3 Player in the works?

Apparently the technology used to develop a device like this is comparable to IBM's Racetrack Memory. Soon people will be able to hold Tower Records in their hands. Read about this massive storage device here

Interesting. However I would stash my DVD collection on it and put it in an HTPC, not an MP3 player. It would take a year just to scroll thru 500TB worth of music selections

lol. 1TB of space on an mp3 would be PLENTY! Even on my computer I have only 280GB of storage space 😛

Why must the news media refer to every storage device by the number of mp3s it can hold? Seriously If you have terabytes of storage, you're not putting mp3s in there.
