Question 5700XT One Fan Stuck at 100%

Hi there,

I recently purchased a Gigabyte 5700xt graphics card. One startup one of the fans shoots up to 100% while the others spin for a few moments before returning to 0%. The one fan stays at 100%. I tried controlling the fan curve with the amd software but it said that the fans were reading at 0rpm. Increasing this value just made the other fans turn on. What should I do?

What is the temp of the card?

You could take apart the GPU and re-apply thermal paste to the chip and then re-seat the GPU fan connectors on the GPU board and see if that helps.

That shouldn't be it? The temps of the card seem super low (like 30-40 degrees)and the fact that I cannot adjust the fan speed through AMDs Radeon software or by undervolting the card in the BIOS seems weird. Could it be a defective card?

I had the same problem with GTX 1080 Strix after replacing my motherboard
Updating Bios and gpu drivers solved the problem for me
