if you look for roadmaps the only mention you might find of them is IVB-E (skt 2011), but as others have mentioned its due in mid 2013, which is precisely the same time as haswell.
other than that there are xeons with hex core. Why do you feel you need hex?
Asking someone why they feel they need something is like asking them why they spent the extra money on a 486 instead of a 386 back in the day (its trivial).
I work in IT full time and I will be running SQL Server on it as a test environment. Since this is my personal machine, I will also be using it for decoding and encoding 1080p and 4k HD video as well as using it to batch process directories of 1000 36MP Raw files in succession at one time.
The complete build would be a Hex or Oct core system with 64gb of ram, 20TB of hard drive space and 2 Eyefinity 7990's (when they come out) driving 6 30 inch LCD's.
I am just moving the 30 inch LCD's from the current system to the new one. But I am waiting for 22nm Hex and Oct core CPU's and Xenon's won't work because I need to use 2 or 3 Graphics cards. (Basicly server mother boards won't work.)
