So I just realized that I was using a cheapo chinese 80 plus 700W power supply for 3 years and since I don't want my house to burn down I decided to upgrade.

I looked around a bit and I can't decide between
the Seasonic 650W Focus plus gold
https://seasonic.com/focus-plus-gold#specification

or the Seasonic 750W Focus+ platinum.
https://seasonic.com/focus-plus-platinum

The 750W one costs 30 euros more where I live. Is it worth the extra wattage and the efficiency rating.

PC:
Ryzen 5 2600x (with precision boost enabled)
Rx 580 4gb (moderately overcklocked)
2x8gb DDR4 2133 (planning to upgrade to 3200)
3 140mm fans (with leds)
Optical drive
128gb SSD
1TB hdd 5400
4TB (planning to buy)

As you aren't using anywhere near that wattage, not really. Well below the 50-80% range of load you want to put on a PSU.

A good 550W supply will be fine. Nothing wrong with either choice though. So I vote for the 650W seasonic if those are the only good options.

Okay so I used this website to calculate my power draw.
https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator

And I got around 590 Watts recomended.
I don't know if it's correct but if it is
that only leaves around 60-50W leeway.

Do you think it's worth it to get the 750W to "futureproof" it.

And yes Seasonic is basically the cheapest brand here I actually trust.
