Hello, I have the great dilemma of always having to choose between A and B.
I have an i5 2500K 4.5 OC, P8P67, 16 gb ram, SSD, Corsair 850W modular.
I'm hesitating whether to buy a 7970 Ghz Edition, or mount a CF 7950, currently set at 2560x1440 @ 60Hz, with VSync and triple buffering enabled, doubt the cf is the Micro-Stuttering, if not today is to solved.
My budget is about + - 500€, accept other suggestions

usually my games: Guild Wars 2, Diablo, Call of Duty, Battelfield and League of legend.

I've read that there is a similar theme open, but not to me out of doubt.
the problem is that 2560x1440 can not be compared with the performance at 1080p or 1200p high resolutions because some cards do not measure as it can lead to 1080p

forgive the bad English

Depends. If its in your budget, get 2 7950s. Yes, there will be issues along the line somewhere but I have 2 7950s in CF myself and an Eyefinity setup and have not come across micro-stuttering yet or any other driver issues (apart from my inability to adapt to CCC after switching from Nvidia). My cards also OC pretty well which also gives a nice performance boost.

If you're stuck for money though, get a 7970, it will probably do a "good enough" job at that resolution.

Currently I have a 6970 and the truth is going well, sometimes just a few drops in the many elements that come together on the screen with the consequent drop in FPS.

And I read the crossfire problems but mostly 6xxx models before and now is not the issue as CF.
I have always been to put only a powerful graphics but then when I was a monitor to 1200p and has nothing to do with performance is asked to 1440p

True. But micro-stuttering can potentially affect ALL multi-GPU configurations, NOT just low end. I have yet to come across it though. As I already stated, I've been using 2 7950s in CF and have not experienced any microstuttering yet and I play at a huge resolution of 4380x900 (Eyefinity).

I read it somewhere in the games only beaten CF 15% in 6970

Hardware.Info uses AvP High 4AA, Batman AC Very High 4AA, BF3 Ultra High 4AA, Crysis 2 Ultra High Edge AA, Dirt 3 Ultra 4AA, Hard Reset Ultra 4AA, Metro 2033 Very High, Skyrim High 4AA and Shogun 2 Ultra 4AA in their Game Suite.

Here's the numbers at 1920 x 1200:

One 7950 gets a total of 530.4 at a cost per frame of $0.58
Two 7950 gets a total of 906.3 at a cost per frame of $0.67

One 7970 Ghz Edition gets a total of 732.2 at a cost per frame of $0.61

So ......

Two 7950's score 24% faster than One 7970 Ghz however the two 7950's have a 10% higher cost per frame.

By comparison......

One 660 Ti gets a total of 566.0 at a cost per frame of $0.49
Two 660 Ti gets a total of 932.2 at a cost per frame of $0.60

But you're at 2560 x 1440 and while that resolution is not common and therefore not tsted, the AMD cards will do better here. More importantly, again at 1920 x 1200, the single 7950 Ghz gets 39 fps whereas the 7950 CF gets 61.0 fps.

At 5760 x 1200 and "very high" settings, the single 7970 Ghz gets an unplayable 16 fps whereas the twin 7950's get a workable 39 fps.

While THG reports microstutter to be more of an issue with CF than SLI, I personally have never observed when using cards that cost over $200
