Aorus is part of gigabyte. dont use that PSU..... HOTARU , telling you to stop using it has probably just saved your computer... those psu were recalled, ( you should contact your retailer who you got the computer or psu from and get refund or alternative psu unit.
Ok, I just checked PSU in main pc and its aorus AP850GM, do you think its safe?
The AORUS AP850GM is not the same as the Gigabyte P850GM, despite both being MEIC based units with similar names.
The AORUS AP850GM appears to perform decently, although there are some areas where it could perform better. Although I would be a little weary of a Gigabyte PSU, I have not seen reports of widespread failure like the Gigabyte P850GM, nor any reports of safety hazards, so take that as you will.

Here is another review of the P750GM (same issue as 850w) from the same reviewer.

This initial review was what
sparked the whole situation to begin with. They have extremely high dead on arrival (DOA) rates, as well as high failure rates later on.
As far as recall is concerned, the situation isn't much better. While there is a recall for the unit, they will only accept units within a certain serial number range, and even then I have seen reports of owners having difficulty with getting replacements, which is irritating.

Even then, the units they send you as a replacement are NOT fixed properly. They simply lowered the protection trip points, which does NOT fix the high DOA rates or the underlying problem at hand.
If I were using one wouldn't bother with a replacement as I wouldn't reccomend to use one of those units either. I would discard the unit and get a better unit to replace it.
