Question 8700k Voltage Unstable with Gigabyte adaptive voltage

I currently have a Aorus Z370 Gaming 7 and I still can’t believe how not user friendly their bios is.

I’m coming from asus and I’m trying to figure out the adaptive voltage mode that gigabyte implemented.

You set Vcore to normal and have a negative or positive offset but it doesn’t match up with my manual voltage overclock

I have my 8700k stable at 5Ghz 1.30V manual

But with adaptive I hit 1.5V so I use a -.2V offset but it’s unstable until I drop down to -.03V but during stress tests it only brings it down to 1.465V which is still way over my manual overclocked voltage.

All I can say is gigabyte tend to be higher than what you set in the bios and two 1.4 is the most you ever want to be at for a constant overclock for daily use any higher is risky 🤔

Vcore to normal as in default or a manual input of 1.3v?

On my msi b450 i had to manual change the voltage as if left on auto etc it would push my cpu to 1.5v+ when overclocking.
