8KNXP Ultra AND Vista

Hello all

I have the Gigabyte GA-8KNXP Ultra in my other system with a P4 3.0GHz cpu and 2GB memory.

Does anyone know whether this motherboard/cpu will have any issues running Vista? I would rather not have to deal with an upgrade at this time if I can help it.

I have an ATI Radeon 9800XT graphics card (elderly, yes I know) and an Antec 550w psu if that's any additional help. My graphics card will shortly be replaced by the Nvidia 7600GT.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You should definitely get rid of that ancient system..... and sell it to me !!

Just kidding, your system should be fine, I've just been looking for that motherboard for a while as a backup to a few we have running here at work.

Course, if you do want to sell it, I'm buying.

The system does run very well, although it isn't used for gaming anymore as I have something a bit more potent shouldering that task these days.

I won't be selling the motherboard anytime soon as a result, but it's a good buy if you can find it.
