Hi, I am trying to decide which system is the smartest buy at this point. Please let me know which one you guys would go with if giving the choice between AMD Athlon 64 3400+, 1MB L2 Cache (socket 754) or AMD Socket 939 Athlon 64 3500+, 2.2 GHz, 512KB L2 Cache (socket 939). Let me know which one of these you think is the smarter buy, I like the 3400's 1MB L2 Cache but I am not sure is AMD is attempting to phase out the 754 already in favor of the 939. I would probably rather the 3400 but if it will become obsolete quickly then the 3500 would be a better choice I assume. All feedback is appreciated.

I think the 754 is the better deal, and if you don't need a constantly top of the line system, the 939 might be money not so well spent. If I am mistaken though, I'm sure that the other more experienced forum members will enlighten us.
