That's just a naming scheme: it does have the core 2 archtitecture, even the singlecore Celeron 4xx series are based on core 2, in fact any current Intel CPU that's not a P4, i5 or i7, is based on core 2.

About the cooling and the voltage: I think you'll be ok at 3.0ghz, 3.2ghz will probably be ok as well, but I'm less sure about that one, as long as your CPU temp never reaches 70C when under load (when running "Prime95") the cooling is fine, if your system hasn't shutdown after an hour of running Prime95 the stability is fine and you don't have to increase the voltage.

Ok, thanks! I will try to overclock my computer, but not until I have it running stably first. I haven't even done my first boot yet - still waiting on a good OS. I would have done it already, but since I have moved house, everything is all over the place.
