A painful lesson learned

One of my daughters bought lots of cool items tonight, but
instead of clicking the option below Discard Item, she clicked
the option above it - Donate Item. She gave 100,000 np worth
of great stuff to the Money Tree, and didn't even know it
until someone who saw her donations neomailed her asking for
some free items for their gallery.

Needless to say, there was great wailing and gnashing of teeth
in our house tonight. She's over it now, but she won't forget
that mistake until the final stage of Alzheimer's finally sets
in somewhere around 2089. And maybe not even then.

Is there an Avi for generosity at the Money Tree?

I did that back when I still used my shop to sell things. One day on the
3rd of the month, I was moving my korbat stuff to my gallery and
accidentally donated the whole lot.

I might sound very cynical, but this sounds an awful lot like a similar post a
few months ago from you Brian. All about your daughter(s) losing lots of items
or neopoints. If I remember correctly, many people donated lots of stuff to you
and her back then, too. I sure do hope this is not a scam.

Been there, done that. Sorry to hear.

You're right, it does sound very cynical. But no, I'm not
asking for any kind of handout. That's why I said in my post
that she was over it now.

And BTW, the girl who took everything from my other daughter's
account has since had her accounts frozen. Amid all the
damage TNP does to innocent gamers with their capricious
account freezing, there is an occasional moment of justice. 🙂

I can back you up here, Brian. Your daughter is a real sweetie. She
is one of the few people I know who out of the blue puts Black Sand up
on the Trading Post and sends me a note to "go get it".

Sorry to hear of her latest misfortune...at least she still has her
purple poogle! 🙂
