Im currently in the process of building a new computer and I have chosen:

A64 3400+ Newacastle (2.4ghz)
MSI nForce3 250 K8N Neo Platinum

Now I was planning on buying one gig of Kingston 184 Pin (2x 512MB) DDR PC-3200. But then someone said that this memory isnt what I should go with when it comes to A64 processors. Im a gamer, restricted on money and I want to have the sound of mind that what I bought is the best bang for the buck.

Any advice would be excellent

2x512 Megs of Kingston will be fine for your system. You don't have to worry!

But, if I were you I would get a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum and Athlon 64 3200+ Socket939 instead of Newcastle 3400+.
