So pretty much the title is the question. Is my motherboard z170x Gaming 3 compatible with Adata XPG SX8200 Pro (960GB) ? Does anyone know ?

"2 x M.2 Socket 3 connectors (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 SATA & PCIe x4/x2/x1 SSD support)"

The m.2 ports on your motherboard can use either a SATA based m.2 drive or an NVMe based m.2 drive.
Not all can, so mere existence of an m.2 port is not a 100% determinant.

But your system will work with that drive.
