Question Advice needed: AMD Radeon VII vs Nvidia RTX 2080

As the title suggests I'm deciding between the two GPUs.

I'm leaning towards the RTX 2080 as I believe DLSS (Ray tracing as a bonus) has a more immediate future than AMD's high capacity memory.

However I do own a 4K monitor that is Freesync enabled.

How important is Freesync? Enough to sway my decision?

Freesync definitely makes things smoother...

Dlss is a pure gimmick, rtx could turn out cool at some point

Honestly at 4k I'd get a 1080ti or a r7 the 2080 is already vram short for some titles at 4k this is only going to get worse. Nothing more painful than a gpu running out of vram to jerk your immersion away

Check to see if that monitor will work with the RTX 2080. Nvidia has enabled some Freesync monitors to work their newer cards.
