This is not true. It is NOT an option it is a requirement. I do not want any other local user on the machine other than the Administrator. I cannot use Administrator here and I cannot get by this "option." How can I set this up the way I'd like to where Administrator is the ONLY local account? Thanks.

When you get to the setup user screen, do a three finger salute, and
reboot. It is not recommended to use THE Administrator account as your
main user.

hmm true, but wouldnt it be better to set up defences against attack
rather than refrain from using the account? Its like buying a new car
then never driving it in case it gets scratched.

I suggest you set up some decent defences and repair tools, such as:
Firewall (eg Zonealarm Pro or Black Ice), not the XP one
AntiVirus (Macaffee, or built into above)
Proxamatron (proxy server, controls javascripts and other nasties)
MS Anti spyware and Pest Patrol.

If you keep all that lot running and up to date, the chances of
anything nasty zapping you is almost nil..............

FWIW

If a user is logged on with administrative privileges, an attacker who
successfully exploited this vulnerability could take complete control of
an affected system, including installing programs; viewing, changing, or
deleting data; or creating new accounts with full privileges. Users
whose accounts are configured to have fewer privileges on the system
would be at less risk than users who operate with administrative
privileges ||

Affected:

Microsoft Word 2000 and Microsoft Works Suite 2001

Microsoft Word 2002, Microsoft Works Suite 2002,

Microsoft Works Suite 2003, and Microsoft Works Suite 2004 Microsoft
Office Word 2003

The user will be a domain account. The local Administrator will never sign
on except to make configuration changes.

"hmm true, but wouldnt it be better to set up defences against attack rather

Well no other local account is necessary. Since it will never be used.
