Asked a question not so long ago about upgrading my current Geforce 6800 AGP card and people said about either a Geforce 7800 series or an ATI x1950.
Done a bit of reading myself and am quite tempted by the Geforce 7600GT as this performs almost as well as a 7800 series card but at a lot lower price.
System specs below:-
Abit NF7s V1.2 & AMD Athlon 3.0GHz CPU at stock speeds (Nforce2 chipset).
2x 512Mb Corsair PC3200's at stock settings.
Asus 9999 Geforce 6800 256Mb AGP graphics card.
FSP Sparkle 400w 400-60PFN PSU - 15.0A on +12v rail
Seagate 320Gb 7200.10 IDE HD.
Pioneer 16x DVD-RW & Pioneer 16x DVD-ROM.
Windows XP Pro SP2.
Do you think it's worth the upgrade from my current Geforce 6800 to a 7600GT ????? Seen the Leadtek PX7600 GT TDH or the Gainward 7600GT Bliss Golden Sample for about £110 and then hopefully sell my current 6800 for some money.
Didn't really want to go to the Geforce 7800 / ATI x1950 series because I would probably need to change my PSU to cope with the higher power demands of these cards and that would mean more expense.
The plan is to get a better VGA card and get another 1-2 years use out of my system before I get a whole new rig.
Many thanks for any help.
