[SOLVED] AIO does not improve cooling

i recently replaced my snowman CPU Cooler with a new aio, its ID-COOLING FROSTFLOW X 240. But it seems to not improve my cpu temps

Below are the max temps when i was using my snowman cpu cooler :

note that i didn't install the 2nd fan below the first because there was no room because of the gpu but instead i installed it at the front of the case.

MOBO: A320M S2H
CPU : Ryzen 3 3300X SE
GPU : Sapphire nitro RX 570 4GB

If you're doing a bizarre ghetto push/pull, you should at least have the outside fan blowing over the radiator where there's no fan on the inside. And what is this third fan you're referring to?

I mean, if you don't install this in the manner that really it should be installed, I think you're getting the appropriate amount of not-working-correctly as a result.

The idea is that if the cooler has 2 fans, each of the 2 fans should be moving air over the radiator, not in random installation patterns with the hope that it works as well (or better) than standard install.

That leaves no meaningful airflow over the whole bottom 1/2 of the radiator.

I can easily expect crappy performance.

Yep, good/decent airflow over 50% of the radiator, no airflow over the other 50%.

Trying to figure out why it was decided to install the way it currently is....I am a bit confused.

From the pic, there seems to be no space between the GPU and the rad.
Like, almost touching.

But, if there is enough clearance on the front of the rad for a fan, why not put both there?
Top and bottom, covering the whole radiator, push.

Both are very good points, and neither of which are discussed.

A lot of really odd things here in terms of the installation method and choice of how to place fans.

I really am confused and I've installed a lot of radiators in my life.

Probably, if the case doesn't allow him to use a radiator correctly. The case is a little odd with the PSU in the old school top-mount with any obvious reason for it. And that PSU...

the noticable changes is that i was able to hit lower temps when idle , but the max temps is still 74c 🙁. im considering to buy a new case that allows me to mount the radiator on top because from my research it seems to be the best orientation to mount radiators

it's a black non rgb fan, that's why its not visible in the pictures

i did put two fans on the front, but the bottom fan is not visible in the pictures, sorry.
