If I buy a ATI RADEON 9600 Pro and a TV Wonder PRO (or other TV card) instead of a AIW 9600, what kind of feature will I lose?

The reason for this is 2 seperate card is more friendly for upgrading, as well as cheaper.

BTW anyone know a good TV card?

I myself have the 8500 AIW package and I love the multitude of things built into the card, but I agree, it makes upgrading much harder. One thing I loved about my AIW is the remote. Its a great lazy person's thing and ati's is the best (you can control the mouse cursor through the remote). I havent used the card to its full potential, but I say think about what you want to do (either just record tv programs, or being able to plug in a camcorder and record off that) and pick a card to those features.

Anyways, I cant give you that much good information, I would say going to the TV/Video cards section would be your best bet.

The only thing you lose is the capability of picture in picture, and you can only have that if you have an all-in-wonder AND a TV wonder working together, anyway.

Other than that, if the TV-wonder you're getting includes a remote, you're much better off.
Make sure you get a TV wonder with a remote! The remote is priceless if you plan to use it with your television!

Ive tried the 9800pro with a TV wonder.....didnt like it. Each device had it's own version on media centre. To install one you have to remove the other. Couldnt get dvd player and TV to work. My recommendation....get the AIW plus you can upgrade to the newest catalyst media centre software. mediacentre 8.7 is not supported with the tv wonder. you need to settle with 8.2
