I can remote into my PC if I log in using an admin id but not using a
non-admin id. It gives the message that the non-admin id does not allow
that.

So how would I change the permissions on a non-admin id to allow certain
functions such as incoming remote connection?

Click Start, Run and enter LUSRMGR.MSC Open the Users folder and double click the user account you wish to modify. Go to the Member Of tab and click the Add button. Enter "Remote Desktop Users", without the quotes. By default, all Administrator accounts are part of the Remote Desktop Users group. Limited users aren't.
