I am kind of in a tight spot. I have started to experiment with video editing (also do moderate gaming right now playing The Witcher) and my x2 3800+ just isn't cutting it for vid editing and I wanted to upgrade my cpu. I'm on a tight budget around $150 usd .
I have Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H 780g chip skt am2+ which on their website supports up to Phenom X4 9750 (no 9850)
cpu cooler I have ocz vendetta
So my dilemma is I found a deal on the Phenom 9600

at the egg for $135 shipped I was wondering if this is a good deal and a good upgrade or if I should scrap upgrading and just save more money and wait. I do realize that this one has the tlb but at 135 it seems to be a good deal. The next quad would be the 9550 which is $40 more and out of my budget. I also thought about the tri-core but they don't seem to be a good deal to me (or are they). Any recommendations? Thank you for your time
