You will have to give us the exact motherboard you are talking about there are many different Nvidia 750a SLI boards by different manufactures. Some will support the newer Athlon II and Phenom II CPU's and some wont so find out the exact board you have.

the 750a SLI is simply a chipset, we need to know the actual model of your board, im using a 750a board currently, and it can take from the weakest sempron to the x6, its all about ur board specs

I already know the board. XFX only released one AMD board with that chipset. But the last time I was on their site, you had to create an account and log in to access the bios info. I will leave that to the OP.
sexy board doesnt look like it can do much though, it it doesnt officially support athlon II series, but it supports the 810 etc so you can try it, good luck
