AMD Athlon II 450 X3 vs. Intel Pentium G2120

What's better for gaming? I like to play a variety games like BF3, far cry 3, WoW, sims 3 need for speed etc. My GPU will probably be a Radeon HD 7770. Thanks for the help!

Well it comes down to personal preference.....The Athlon is SLIGHTLY better in multithreaded tasks whereas the Pentium is MUCH better in singlethreaded ones.

I personally would take the Pentium over the Athlon ii x3 anyday..Had it been an Athlon ii x4 then I would have changed my opnion..

Get a Pentium G2020 as there is not much of a difference between the G2020 and G2120. And spend the saved money on a better graphics card if posssible. Since the difference with the same graphics card would be just 3-4 fps considering the fact that these chips are not overclockable.

All the above is correct but the 450 can be overclocked and has a possibility of unlocking cores, so should be considered if you will be overclocking but otherwise not.
