I just bought a AMD 1.2GHz cpu, are all of these processor's in this range considered the Thunderbird or is there a seperate version between Thunderbird and just Athlon? The reason I ask is that there is no indication of Thunderbird on box. It just says AMD Athlon Processor 1200MHz.

it's a tbird. The original only made it up to 1GHZ. It should say something like "performance-enhancing cache" on the box.

thanks for the response, it does says on the bottom of box perfomance enhancing cache memory. Just wanted to make sure before wrapping on box was broken.
