AMD cpu's starting with the AMD64 series support hardware Data Execution Prevention (DEP).

Does anyone have a BIOS which allows hardware DEP to be disabled? I'm not talking about configuring DEP through Windows, I'm refering to the BIOS options. It might be labled something like 'disable NX' or 'Disable DEP'.

If anyone does could you list your CPU, motherboard make and model?

I dont think BIOS can disable it. fact is, the OS have to be able to use it to have it active.. Win98 don't make use of it...

So, you have to disable it in the OS
