How would my FX 6300 handle these two cards in CF? is it worth it? btw i already have both cards. I currently have my FX 6300 @ 4.3GHz but can push it to 4.5Ghz if need be. Am planning on selling one of my 7870 but if CF is also an option i would like to consider.

Solution
Absolutely it can...

The FX 8350 has been benchmarked across more than 30 games on overclock.net using QUAD HD 7970 GHz edition cards.

If the 8350 can push that just fine, then your 6300 can push a pair of 7870's no problem.

The new AMD Drivers fix the Micro-stuttering issue by using a driver software tweak dubbed "Frame Pacing": http://www.maximumpc.com/amd_delivers_frame_pacing_fix_driver_update135

This fix does not work on Crossfire configurations where there are more than two cards. This fix also does not work under Eyefinity or in games which predate DX10.

Worth the download though. :)

Yes. Pretty big issue actually. You won't get the best FPS like that...

That motherboard you're considering buying looks good though. That should handle your CPU and dual GPU config.

That's the board I use and have nothing but great things to say about it. Beautiful, stable, cool and clocks like a beast ! This board has an 8+2 power system vs. your current boards 4+2. That was something I didn't realize in the other post I was helping you on was that you had a 4+2 board, 4.3 is impressive on that board. Expect 4.5+ easy out of your new board.

That Asus board has a 6 + 2 phase CPU/RAM power design. A better board, for relatively the same price, would be the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3. It comes with an 8 + 2 phase CPU/RAM power design. Overall... it's just a better board but the Asus is no slouch... just not as much bang for the buck imo.

My current Mobo can handle 4.5GHz OC on my FX 6300 and it has a 4+2 Phase. I know the GIGABYTE is gonna be better in overclocking but i think am sticking with Asus Besides, i feel like 4.7Ghz is the sweet spot and am sure i can get there with the Asus Mobo and keep it there until i decide to upgrade once steamroller gets here.
