[SOLVED] Amd Phenom Ii X4 945 is Compatable with AM2+ socket and DDR2?

I'm trying to buy a new CPU for my PC, so i want to know if this one can work with my motherboard.

Which motherboard do you have?
The 945 came in 2 versions, the 125w and the 95w steppings. Your board may not support 125w.
But being an AM3 processor, it was supposed to be backwards compatible to the AM2+

yup, it works...+/- semms like my bios is outdated(ga-ma78gm-s2h F7) and i have to update (to at least F8, but F11 is the best for AM3 CPUs) which i am a little afraid( any error e bam lost bios) but anyway thanks for the help
