AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1055T Processor temp

Hello I just have a question about safe operating temps.
i'm running a AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1055T Processor over-clocked to 3.5GHX.
Speed fan will only show one temp.
PC wizard shows core temps around 34-37c
AMD Overdrive shows each cpu temp at around 45c is this temp safe to run for long periods. And who can I trust in reading does AMD overdrive give some what decent readings.

Two things:
1. If those are idle temps, they are irrelevant. What you care about is when the CPU gets hotter, the load temps. running prime 95 for example will load up the CPU.
2. At lower temperatures, The sensors become less accurate. I always trust the bios and so far a program I use called HWmonitor has given me accurate results.

As for the tempaerature of AMD processors, I would not let them go past 60*C on load. But technically, that is still under the TJmax. Anyone who says the TJmax is lower than 90-100*C is confusing that wit hthe Tcase max.
Anyway, the TJmax also lowers when the cpu is overclocked and too much heat will cause damage over time regardless of the TJmax. For example, my friend's radeon 4850 has been running for years and hitting 90*C. It now gets hotter than that due to issues caused by the heat

45C was after runing prim95 for a hour on all 6 cores and reading from AMD overdrive am i a fool for listening to AMD Overdrive or is it fairly accurate

with HWmon do i look at core temps or TMPIN0-2
HWmon gives me core temps idle around 26
under load I"m seeing around 54c is that safe cause id love to push the clock more.
I know I'm asking allot its just from what i can tell if the safe temp is around 65c i could easily over clock more.
BTW I'm using the stock fan.
I'm trying to get more in to overclocking and I have a pretty solid grasp of all the concepts I'm just bad with temps for specific CPU'S and I wanna keep my cpu at least 5c under what is considered a safe load temp.

Awesome. So you are looking at core temps. TMPIN0 is related to some other component that HWmonitor can't identify.

I wouldn't push it past what you have now if I were you. But it's up to you. I get nervous when I am approaching 60*C. So I recently got a sythe Katana.

The idle temperature is a lie. It's too low to be properly detected at that point.

Open up your monitoring progs like HWmon / Coretemp / Speedfan.

Then run P95 or OCCT and watch which temps fly up, you then know theses are your cpu temps.

You could get the temps much lower with an upgraded cooler.

I ran P95 with HWMON and got 54c temps are these safe as they are. I got a very nice after-market fan on the way and if these temps are safe im thinking what ever it lowers from this point is further over clock room

Seems cool enough, have you upped your cpu voltage at all for your OC?

When you say fan do you mean heatsink/fan combo? What did you get?

I can tell you a friend of mine has the 1090T and is now hitting 3.8ghz with an OCCT temp of 50C.

No cpu's are ever the same, you could have 2 the same and one just runs 10C hotter.

As you OC undoubtably your voltages will go up and therefore your heat, which is when better cooling is needed.

I think anything under 60C at full load is good, if mine run 70C under OCCT but idle nice and cool thats ok with me.
