Arguing with him is a waste of time. He's lost all love and enthusiasm for technology and replaced it with his hatred of Intel.
Intel releases a new CPU: "Intel is evil, I will disregard all that makes me an enthusiast and buy AMD"
Medfield smartphone is launched: "Intel is evil, I will disregard all else buy an iPhone"
Nissan announces Atom in Inifitis: "Intel is evil, I will disregard all else and buy a Ford"
He's reached the point where he ignores performance and features due to blinding hatred and is therefore not an enthusiast. He has the exact same mindset as Apple fans that will ignore all else to buy an Apple product, except he will ignore all else to NOT buy an Intel product.
I can't say that for sure honestly, he may be that way he may not be that way. But he sure does not like benchmarks using games that Intel is better at.
Either way, I bought my Fusion over a Nissan because it has a better rating in most everything and it just looks sexier. The only thing better would be the upcoming Shelby 1000 Mustang.
So if I got this right, people aren't allowed to have their own opinion and only allowed to believe the bias media?
Ya don't listen to anyone with an opinion or who actually owns a prioduct that you think is inferior, proves he must be stupid because your opinion is otherwise more right.
Answer me one question, why should everyone be forced to buy Intel?
Edit : this time since you attacked me, you refers directly to you.
No one should. People should decide for themselves. But wasting time with past issues, as I said AMD and Intel have gotten over it, the compiler is a very small minority in usage and overall anything of that nature is pointless.
I do think Intel has stopped. Overall they have a better product, and even when they wont have a better performning product they will still have superior FAB capabilities at their disposal to produce more products so that when AMD or company X cannot fill requests, Intel can.
As I said, Intel is not forcing anything on AMD nor are they forcing anything on software devs. Every software dev has the ability to read, correct? So don't you think that before jumping into a certain compiler they would read the EULA as well as the benefits and downsides? If not, blame the software dev, not the compiler maker. There is responsability on every front and even on AMD, Intel, software devs etc.
If you want benchmarks for certain products that no place covers, then by all means do them yourself and post them and ask someone with XX CPU and similar other specs to do the same.
You should always care about the past, for those who forget are doomed to repeat it.
I understand that. Such as WWII. I know what needs to be remembered, But talking over and over about the past of Intel and AMD does not help innovation, nor does AMD/Intel fighting it out. Instead now AMD has that extra lawyer money to push into R&D, which is better.
I doubt AMD employees sit around the office moaping about what Intel did. Instead they look at whats wrong and how to fix it or what could be done better (such as BD->PD).
Now if you will excuse me, I have to go and try out Shoot Many Robots. Gotta get my Gordon freeman skin on and kill Portal bots.....
