That's amazing news. It wouldn't have been possible if those cards weren't simple re-brands. I guess there's something good we can get out of rebrands -lower price per performance, (probably) CFX compatibility and so on.

$350 for 3.5GB of VRAM or $389 for 8GB of VRAM? I know that's not what everything's all about but damn...

What about the Fury series? Titan performance for $750 - $800 would be amazing too. If only their cards could be used just as nVidia's in software such as Adobe's suite. That would unbelievable pricing. Those cards would barely touch the shelves.

Uhm... It really looks like the 390X is just a 290X with more VRAM. At those price points they're not bad, but you would only eye one for XFire and 4K or 3x1080p resolutions. The 1080p king will still be the 970 it seems. If that is the case, I hope they added something else other than VRAM.

Cheers!

Yeah, I hope that "Enhanced Hawaii Pro" tag doesn't stand just for the added VRAM.

This is good news, as expected. AMD are releasing some very compelling value propositions, while at the same time being different enough from nV's that there is market enough for everyone. Also, prices of the 970 and 980 will come under pressure from this, and who wins... The consumer.

I still am not convinced it comes out this month. I'm set on November. I don't trust any of these articles online. They're mostly lies or made up. They say things like "prices have been leaked". Okay, where's your source? Where are the official facts stated by AMD?

Yes, that´s a problem. We´ll have to wait until the official release. At least i hope that they wont be using water coolers, because that will crap the TDP.

"Leaked" pricces:Click me!

They're doing what needs to be done in order to remain competitive with nVidia OVER THE NEXT YEAR AT LEAST. This means they are forcing nV to lower their prices on their existing product lineup. nV makes less money, AMD looks good in comparison, until the green team releases their next generation, which in turn prompts AMD to lower their prices and so on... Same leapfrog game every time, really.

The only reason AMD are in financial trouble is their CPU lineup and competition with Intel.

"Do not bite off more that you can chew"
They are making processors and GPUs and one of the problems is that the economical problems that may have in one, would affect the other one, but let´s see if the new line of GPUS (just 8 days 😀) and processors (2016?) can change this, couse the marketshare looks bad.

june 16. that's when the reviews should come out. i suspect top tech sites have already received samples and/or will get them very soon for testing. if you carefully read between the lines, you can tell which sites. 😉

Even ir AMD able to force nvidia to lower their price i don't think it will pose that much if a problem to nvidia. If anything AMD probably hoping for nvidia to keep their price high so they can sell their cards and make decent profit. Last year nvidia put 970 at 330 and that really forced AMD to sell their flagship from 400-450 down to 300 and below. While at the same time nvidia seems have no trouble selling 980 at 550 despite how big the price gap between 980 and 970.
