AMR Question

I was just wondering what the deal is with the new AMR specification and what advantages it's supposed to bring. Is it supposed to be like an AGP port for modems?

advantages to OEMs mainly.. it hasn't really materialized yet.. so if you can find the board you want without it.. that's a good thing
