Wondering ... Are the improvements in the P182 Case worth the extra dough over the P180? And if so what are the major improvements other than cable management.

I think that the improved cable management is a worth of it. P182 is like p180 as it should have been from the beginning. The p180 is good case, but cable management is somewhat painfull.

If you want real improvements go for p190. In normal use there is very little difference between p180 and p182. The building is little easier and p182 has better option for water cooling, if you are going to go that direction.

Yeah the p190 looks sweet w/ the two PSU, but $450 seems a bit much even w/ two PSU's. Yeah I think I'm going with the P180 and use the extra dough elsewhere.

consider the 182, the external fan control option can be very useful, it's something the 180 is missing... still love the case tho! 😀

Okay now I'm leaning towards the P182 now, but then I saw a clean mod with the 900 w/ a few drilled holes. ARGGHHHH. I can't decide.

Wyatt - I've posted this before on another thread. I ordered my P180B from the Egg back in Jan/Feb - and mine has the cable management cutouts, the water cooling ports, and the fan control switch at the top of the back for the rear and top fans.
The only thing I could find was on the outside of the box. It says Ver. 1.1 So, maybe the .1 part of the 1.1 has the updates on it.

The egg has a rebate for 40.00 off if you order by tomorrow 6/8.

So you guys are saying the P180B is basically a P182 only in black not gunmetal ??? Uh yeah that makes the decision a lot easier. Thanks guys.

I'm saying the one I got from newegg a few months back was... like I said the only thing I could see on the box was "Ver. 1.1"
No where on the box does it mention these updates - in fact even the picture on the box showing the back/side view does not show the water cooling ports or the fan control switches at the top. But when I unboxed it - they where there.

Heres the difference.

Just a regular p180. Notice the lack of wire management.

P182. Note the holes for wire management, you will be able to significantly reduce clutter with the p182 vs the p180 (sans dremel). Considering a dremel costs around 60 bucks the p182 is worth the extra money.

The cases don't have much of a difference, there are switches on the top back of the case to change the exhaust fan speeds. The lower picture is without the lower drive cage. CM is the main feature between the two cases, and one that I personally find well worth it.

I didnt read the whole thread before i posted. Havent heard of the p180b's having the holes cut out. If thats the case, then get the 180b, since color is hardly a reason to choose one model over the other.

Can you check for certain? I havent seen any pics of the p180b 1.1 to verify.

Considering I built my brother's PC a week ago, and routed cables from the hole between the PSU bay and the motherboard bay, as well as behind the motherboard tray, I'd say, yes, the P180B has the cable management holes.
