do u guys know of a good program that does the inventory, invoices, and file storing kind of thing. u know, like ur local store who can pull up ur file and tell u exactly what u have bought in the past, and how much u have spent. and ur last home address and phone number. like my local circuit city or best buy or similar. my parents own a business and use the traditional paper method to store invoices and files. i wanted to build them a system to do it digitally which is faster, neater, and more efficient. if you guys ever heard of a program to do this, please let me know. thanks

Have you checked out QuickBooks by Intuit? It does inventory, invoices and can keep track of all your customers and vendors. I know with Quicken, you can attach files.

I use QuickBooks for my business and its not too bad. It really helps for doing 1120s and 941s.

I would also check out MYOB and PeachTree Accounting. I think PeachTree is probably the closest to paper accounting, but QuickBooks may be easier to use.

I would also check the reviews.

They rate PeachTree the best.
