Are these graphic artefacts?

Hi,

I have a dell xps 630i, and I've already had a previous GTX 280 card replaced because it displayed symptoms of dieing. I got a replacement GTX 280 card but I'm observing weird behavior and possible artefacting. I was wondering if I could get your peoples opinion on whether this could be artefacting or a software issue. I'm running a brand new clean install of windows 7 32 bit.

The thing that I am talking about is the weird stripe down the right hand side of the monitor.

This stripe dissapeared as soon as I resized the window and has not reappeared yet.

Yep. I think reinstalling video driver (current or newer if available) will probably help fix it. Give it a try.

Oh i forgot that too make sure you have the latest VGA drivers installed

it's part of the desktop background being blurred behind the task bar by windows 7's transparency effects. as you resized the window it covered up the part of the back ground that you were seeing through the taskbar. change your background and see if it's gone.
