No digital output, only analog. I would recommend having a listen though as like I said, you wont be missing Dolby.

Make sure you have the MEI driver installed. Ideally it would not make sense from an efficiency standpoint to fix your frequency but if you want to force this you need to change your windows power management to high performance and also go into the UEFI and select sync all cores and define your overclock as a 40x multiplier this will apply it to all cores.

It has to be viable for us to do on many levels, as I said earlier. If we feel the market for it is big enough to justify the R&D we'd do it.

We are focusing actually quite a bit on mini ITX and have been producing board in this space for years and across multiple chipsets. Additionally we currently offer the most feature rich mini ITX boards on the market with solutions like our Z87-I Deluxe or Maximus VI Impact. In addition we have AMD solutions like our E2KM1-I Deluxe. With this in mind we are currently continuing to monitor the adoption and feedback of the community.

Hi MVI4,

The G750 series doesn't come with Optimus technology.

Why is there no support for the oplay anymore? Not that there was any to begin with... Like on the oplay HD2, why are all the files not stored on a usb HD in non-alphabetical order?

It doesn't feel like work because we're doing what we love doing :)

Being able to test new hardware, liaise with design teams etc. It's great!

On the ASUS motherboard, the USB3 front panel connectors seems a bit weak. As you know the USB3 cables are quite thick, but the connector is now relatively small. So it's so easy for the connector fall off, if bump into it. Do you have plans to upgrade or modify the USB3 front panel connector to a latching type?

Changes to the connector would not be a simple process. Cable/connector manufacturers would have to drive that both ways (cables and connectors). If there were a viable option for us to use and adoption on a wide scale possible, we'd certainly do it. I hasten to add that once inserted, the current cable connector combo should not work lose inside a PC case.

In house design teams. Conceptual art isn't generally posted this way but there are instances where posts on ROG Forums front page articles have included it.

EDIT: removed for tech support request - JP

My question no more tech support than any of the other questions posted. It was a valid question, not tech support or out of bounds

I'm wondering, how could I possibly in the future work at Asus, I'm still a student and I'm very interested in being apart of the Asus team, my favorite PC part manufacturer!

On the ASUS routers, do you guys plan on having USB3 on all future products? And do you guys plan on having the USB3 ports to operate at "full" USB3 speed?
Right now, I'm seeing sub-par performance on both USB2 and USB3 ports on any routers.
What I would like to have is to plug my external USB3 drive into the router USB3 ports and be able to utilize the full bandwidth (~1Gbits/s, 100MB/s) between USB3 ports and ethernet ports.
I know USB protocal is quite resource intensive, and might require a dedicated fast controller to handle the communication. But I think it would be a good option to have, considering the fact that ppl are networking many devices at home. And most network devices are reaching the full potential of the network bandwidth.

Your 1150 lineup has the following:
14 ATX boards
8 Micro-ATX boards
1 Mini-ITX boards

60% of the boards are ATX in your 1150 lineup. One would assume that the distribution of form factor would be based on market research so one would conclude that the majority of the 1150 market prefers standard form factor. However, based on the distribution of FM2 boards, it would seem that the market demands small form factor Micro-ATX over ATX. Is this a fair assessment?

Also, what other factors does Asus consider when determining if a product is viable?

Ugh... sorry if my last question (on page 1) was offensive in any way. I didn't know you had in-house artists... and it's true art appreciation is subjective. I would still like to know why that particular art direction was chosen by you - and the industry in general - for gfx card box art.

Also another question if I may be so audacious... would it be a massive headache for you guys to release say a 24" 8k monitor? I am drooling over your PQ321 and just for doing it you guys are heroes to me... but what about a smaller one with a higher resolution for higher PPI? Do you have to "wait" for say Samsung or LG to "invent" the panel before you order some? Is it them I should be hounding with demanding letters? Thanks! :)

Thanks for your reply. FYI, the connector on my P8Z77 MB hasn't falling off yet. But I open up my case a lot, and everytime I check the USB3 front connector it seems a bit loose. The cable wiggles a bit on the connector when I move it a bit. There's quite a bit of tension on the connection, since I have to bend the USB3 (dual shielded) cable 180degress to the back of the case to route to the front panel. It just doesn't seem to be as solid as other connectors, such as the SATA connectors.

As the Asus Rep said, no Optimus. The reason I believe is because Optimus doesn't support 3D stuff yet so they couldn't implement it for some reason. :( Battery life still very good theoretically since Nvidia's GPU power management is very good.

Thanks for the answer to my previous question. Got another:

Super interested in the Zenbook Infinity. Can we have at least a time frame as to when it may be released?

Hi,

Yes, the panels have to be available to us. It's an exciting technology and I'm sure there's more on the way.
