On the ASUS routers, do you guys plan on having USB3 on all future products? And do you guys plan on having the USB3 ports to operate at "full" USB3 speed?
Right now, I'm seeing sub-par performance on both USB2 and USB3 ports on any routers.
What I would like to have is to plug my external USB3 drive into the router USB3 ports and be able to utilize the full bandwidth (~1Gbits/s, 100MB/s) between USB3 ports and ethernet ports.
I know USB protocal is quite resource intensive, and might require a dedicated fast controller to handle the communication. But I think it would be a good option to have, considering the fact that ppl are networking many devices at home. And most network devices are reaching the full potential of the network bandwidth.
