I liked the game. It was engaging for me when I played it. Grpahics were good, but perhaps could have done with some optimizations. That being said, the Crysis franchise is known for being taxing on hardware. I expected nothing less. The surround sound on this game is great too.

As 40 years old however, my concentration levels are not what they used to be for gaming so I don't play things for long...hehe Even my favorite, the Street Fighter series doe snot get much air time these days.

Hey Asus guys.

Is it a matter of days, weeks, or months until we see notebooks based around i3 and i5 4xxxM Haswell CPUs (i.e., normal mobile, not low power)? Particularly notebooks like K55.

When can we expect high DPI desktop monitors at 24" or less? Is there a chance for 3840x2400 and not only 3840x2160? Will monitors stick to that resolution, or can we expect even higher ones in the near future?

Thanks for the Q&A session!

I realize you can't get to all questions, but I'm hoping this one got lost rather than being unanswerable. Being deaf in one ear, your new Sonic Radar for ROG boards could be a howling big deal to me (and others in a similar situation). I don't know that I can afford another major upgrade so soon, so can or will these drivers be made available for other [Asus] boards? I have a Maximus V Gene that also has SupremeFX sound, and would love to get Sonic Radar for it too.

Hi I would like to know if in the future plan for a graphic card there will be one like the hd 4770 formula with the ajustable fan speed that will exaust to the back of the case. This is such a great card .Salutations scout_03

Unrelated question: The most powerful single-slot-width gaming graphics card anyone offers appears to be the HD7750 (and Asus doesn't have one; single bracket, but the cooler is too big). Does Asus have any plans to introduce any more powerful cards (AMD or nVidia) for "shoebox"-type cases that only have room for single-slot cards?

I'm very disappointed that you can't comment on whether Asus plans to release new ROG Rampage Extreme/Formula motherboards for the upcoming Ivy Bridge-E processors. The whole reason I'm following this thread was to get that kind of information. Since Ivy Bridge-E is due to drop in September, I would think that Asus has already decided whether or not to release Rampage V boards that might include updated chipsets and features, such as onboard Thunderbolt and WiFi. Your existing Rampage IV Extreme/Formula are already great products, so only minor tweeks are needed. In fact, I'm planning on purchasing an i7-4960X when it's released, and I will buy the Rampage IV Formula even if it's not updated.

By the way, thanks for the info on when the GTX780 DCII will be available. I've been checking Newegg every day so that I can buy one when they are released.

It's very nice that Asus is participating in a forum like this. By taking the time to answer questions from the end users of your products, you are definitely building on the already great reputation of your company.

I've been building PC's with Asus motherboards for over 15 years, and I really like the consistent, high quality of your products.

Are there any plans for a haswell thin mITX motherboard with 16x PCIe?

Splendid
1.If there's new motherboard for Ivy Bridge E, will features found on current Z87 boards like latest version of Bluetooth, 802.11AC, ROG's mini combo II card, be carried over?

2.If there are new Ivy Bridge E boards, then are you guys planning to make a dual socket ROG or TUF motherboards?
I'm still running on a Asus Rampage Formula and was about to upgrade to a Rampage IV Extreme, after I notice it's only got Bluetooth 2.0 instead of 4.0, I was a bit disappointed. :\

3.Also I saw the Bluetooth on P9X79 Deluxe has media playback controls you can use from a smart phone, does ROG Bluetooth have that too?

4.When will we start to see SATA Express on motherboards?

5. I seem to recall you guys have build a motherboard that's designed for lan parties where you can lock your keyboard and mouse to prevent others from taking it. What was that motherboard called again?

Thank you

More and more people are running Distributed Computing projects on their hardware 24/7 which generates lots of heat...

For example running my Asus 7950 Direct CUII TOP @ 1,040MHz (not a great clocking example sadly, but very reliable) pushes a lot of heat into my Antec P182 with extra from 120mm fan where optical drives should be.

Even with this extra ventilation my case has a more or less neutral pressure, with great flow - but still adds 9c to my Xeon X5650 @ 4GHz (Noctua NH-D14 cooled) temps.
- on hotter summer days with heavy Work Units that extra 9c can push my CPU to over 87c which is not cool :(

I would love to see more high end cards (like the HIS 7950 IceQ Turbo) make an effort to actively push at least a proportion of heat out the back of the case. Perhaps some kind of hybrid cooling dividing the heat output could be possible ?

Mods - maybe it would be nice to remind the UK site that this AMA Live now like the US site did ;)

I am only here now because I by chance checked something on the US version.

As an avid watercooler for 10+ years, it really isn't needed, even for moderate overclocking.

I haven't had time to read other posts, so do excuse me if I am repeating this...

What is wrong with the video card in the G50VT-X5s and how do we fix them?
Its pretty ridiculous, but I still do hold you're company in high esteem.

ANYONE?! I would love an answer on this, but it looks as if I am being ignored -_-

Our focus on graphics cards design is creating superior to reference designs with key focus being on cooling and acoustics. Blower type fan as less efficient and louder than the dual axial/impeller based design we use. In some situations the delta can be greater than 15 to 20c. Additionally we do extensive testing on many chassis/cases and have found modern chassis with good airflow are only moderately impacted by heat that may be partially exhausted into the chassis. In addition blow based design can also increase internal chassis ambient temperatures due to hot spotting of the PCB due to considerably increase temperatures. As such it comes down to a combination of picking the chassis and layout for whatever GPU you use. As of now due to the superior performance we offer in our solutions we are still keeping focus on non blower based designs. With that noted we will continue to monitor feedback from our users and the community as a whole.

The formula should be available within the next month so keep the look out. As for the Poseidon it is still under design and development.

Hi ASUS! My Name's Marco and a large consumer of ASUS Products. I also work Retail at a computer store primarily focused in selling ASUS product in Canada.

I Have a few questions for you

My Questions are

When are we going to see the ThunderboltEX PCIE Card? What is the status on it? It has been a year and We haven't heard anything since 2012 Computex. If it's politics with intel, I would suggest to pressure them. My wallet's been open for this for a year.

Will there ever be an AMD Version of the ASUS Taichi, or other tablets to enable gaming-level graphics in a thin package? The APUs tend to have better graphical performance, where the CPU is not necessarily needed but more GPU horsepower.

Will there be linux support in the future for the ASUS Taichi and other ASUS x86 based tablets? Many distros, including Android and Ubuntu contain touch-friendly features that will likely complement the innovation behind this product.

Why is the Padfone only dual band? The 3G Capabilities of all the padfone series are 900/2100. It completely excludes north american customers. In the age of mobility, it doesn't make sense that a phone, a portable device would be limited to a small geographical area and exclude markets where it will sell. Will there be a multiband Padfone? My Wallet's been waiting for this one as well as I'm in the market for a new phone. My wish for the padfone is to be pentaband, so I can use it on any network i want. As someone who does travel to other countries too. It'd be helpful that this phone be multiband to support all the countries.

When will there be an ITX edition of the popular FM2 Series of motherboards? I sell a particularly large number of your F2A55 and F2A85 Series of motherboards. But it remains in high demand to have the AMD graphics in a small package. I sold thousands of your F1A75-I series. They're no longer available.

Will we see any of your Windows RT or Windows 8 Tablets/hybrids/ultrabooks/ultrathins come with 3G and/or LTE radios to enable true mobility? If so, Will they be multiband to ensure worldwide compatibility at least on 3G levels?

Why haven't you updated your Canadian website? It gives my customers the impression that you have neglected the Canadian market. Also, Canada seems to get the least amount of product from ASUS. Please do not neglect us.

Can I suggest an idea for a product?, A padfone-like device running Windows 8 or Windows RT on an x86 processor. I can get work done, have cool apps, and bring my PC with me. All in my pocket with no compromises. Again, Make it multiband. It's irritating when you're locked in.

In Canada, it's incredibly difficult to find cases for many of your tablets, would you consider offering your tablets with the official asus case for a higher price?

Currently the highest amount of water cooling comes from Intel based chipsets. Additionally as complete independent water cooling is a more expensive solution it is a slightly different price band due to AMD chipsets lower cost. With that noted we continue to produce high performance boards and work with partners at ensuring there are options for users looking for watercooling on our AMD series boards. As always should we get enough feedback this is something we would consider in the development of our boards. Keep in mind though the overall task is more complicated than just making a block as we have to design a solution that provide great passive ( air ) performance as well as solid water cooling experience. This is important as only a small % will use the optional water cooling.

Hi bnot and jrhilsch,

I can't get into specifics but you should start to see higher DPI monitors in those smaller sizes starting in the second half of next year.
