Hello! 8O

I recently placed an order for a Asus M2N-E SLI NVIDIA Socket AM2 ATX Motherboard and also some OCZ Platinum Revision-2 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Dual Channel Memory (2 x 1024MB).

Now from what i have been told (by some), the asus motherboard only has an output of 1.95v, whilst the ram needs 2.1v......can anyone confirm this?! and if so, will this cause a problem for when i build the pc? if it causes a problem could someone refer me to a motherboard that supports 2.1v output please!

Thank you in advance!

Hello!
I own this motherboard too. I think it is greeeat, but has a few cons, and one of them is:
Yes, it only accepts memories less or equal 1.95v output.

When I was told about this detail I got as scared as you must be now. But there is a lot of options and I'm going to open a topic with a list researched by me with all DDR2 800 Dual Channel (2GB and 4GB) non-'Value' kits (including the brands Corsail, Crucial, G. Skill, GeiL, Kingston, OCZ, Patriot, Transcend).
I will call the topic: [Memory] Memory choices to a <1.95v output motherboard.

Sorry for english, I'm brazilian 😀

Can you confirm AM2 provides DDR800 Single channle
AM2+ provides DDR1033 Dual channle
or
Unsupported CPUs Opteron Quad core Budapest Working w/overclock 1356 2.6Ghzx4
Loss Dual channle?

I have 2Gbx2Gb of ram that wont show dual channle, really generic manufacturer with old DDR2 videocard RAM PNY.

 I want dual channle !
