I purchased the monitor for gaming. Should I be concerned that it's not 120 HZ? But it is 2ms.

What is Spendid? No explanations in the manual.

What is contrast ratio 50,000,000:1 (ASCR)?

Thanks in advance for answers.

Solution
No you shouldn't worry 120hz is really only useful for doing stereoscopic 3d.

Spendid is just Asus's word to say it auto-adjusted the color and brightness levels of video material. It more useful for watching TV and movies than playing games. In fact when playing games, it may cause extra input lag.

any contrast ratio above 3000:1 is a made-up manufacturer number. All it means is that they are dimming the backlight for dark scenes. Because they can turn the backlight off for a completely black scene they could say they have an infinite contrast ratio, but they'd rather just post a really big number.

Looks like I would have to remove Splended for online games?

Not for MMOs, but for FPSs.

Post processing, like splended, doesn't matter so much for video games because a lot of them already do their own post processing on the video card. It's more useful for watching low quality cable television.

You'll never miss it.
