Thats Right, a Wine Chiller Case! This thing is perfect for modification into the COOLEST case around.

Using Thermoelectric technology this Wine Chiller can keep your components cool without worry of condensation on the components because its designed to stay at 50 degrees and it also dehumidifies the interior so you get maximum cooling for your X79!

The wine chiller case is even illuminated blue and has a glass window.

Best of all you can keep your beverages cool at the same time! 😀

All other components are specd and are compatable with LGA 2011

A Lean, Mean Gaming Machine

I couldn't tell if coolest as in styling or coolest as in the most efficient heating, so I created a machine in between that should satiate anybody looking to splurge on an i7-3930k system of either quality!

Total: $1490.90 in cart

With a little tweaking, I'm sure we could squeeze a 500GB hard disk (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136795) in over the second GPU if you don't have a true hard disk already and need the full storage space.

LHC Atom Smasher

Processor: Intel Core i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E (COMBO) - $894.98 - Overclocked to 4.7Ghz

DVD Burner: LG Blu-Ray Lightscribe Combo 8x Read/Write Drive - $54.99
Extra Cooling: 2 Rocket Fish 120mm auxiliary Case Fans - $3.70

So I went for cool both temperature wise, and wicked factor. Spec'd out hardcore with some nice touches. Asus GTX560, A realistic sized SSD (120GB), 8GB of RAM, decent spec Corsair water cooling, and a blu-ray combo drive! Mad chill factor with water cooling plus 2x 120mm case fans, plus fantastic bang for the buck. I also didn't sacrifice quality of graphics card, HDD size, or RAM.

Total price for all this goodness, $1498.62. Game on!

edit: revised system to include properly fitting processor

I dont see how the Cooler ganna be able to cool the LGA 2011?

Matt's I need a new PC Build
Processor: Intel Core i7-3930K - $599.99

COOLER MASTER Intel LGA2011 Retention Bracket for Hyper 212 EVO - $1.99
DVD Burner: ASUS 24X DVD Burner - $19.99
Total - $1,496.90

Wow, that took me longer then I thought it did. 3 hours later I'm finally finished haha. I couldn't decide on a few things, tried to squeeze in a 560Ti instead of the 6870, but the $50 price difference was a killer. I also tried to squeeze in a Corsair H80 water cooler, but the price difference from the Hyper 212 EVO was $60. BUT if I won the contest, I'd throw $1000-$1500 into the rest of the build for one great machine. :)

Total Mail in Rebates - $65 (Was not included in my above total since it's against the rules)

Oh and for those who are saying in their posts "the rules don't specify cpu." There are only 2 LGA 2011 socket CPUs available at the moment: the 3930x for $600 and the 3960x EXTREME for $1050 lol.

The Barbarian's Gaming Beast
Processor and Motherboard: Asus X79 Sabertooth and Core i7 3930K $894.98
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600CL9 w/ instant $5 code $39.99
Graphics Card: ASUS GTX 560 Ti $234.99
Hard Drive: Corsair Force 3 120GB $166.49
Case: Thermaltake V4 Black Edition $35.99
Power Supply: Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-620 620W $76.00
Cooling: Xigmatek Gaia $29.99
DVD Burner: ASUS DVD Burner $19.99

TOTAL: $1498.42

Sacrifices were made here and there. But when it comes down to gaming, there is not a computer on this thread that will post better framerates. And I've got one of the few 120GB HDDs--big enough to use this like a normal computer unitl HDD prices drop.

According to Frostytech's 150W load testing, the Xigmatek Gaia should keep this CPU plenty cool enough for some moderate OC'ing.

Discontinued and out-of-stock, yeah, that's a problem. But if they're allowing instant rebates and savings, then how is a one-day shell shocker any different?

Um... no. Each module is 1600MHz. Four modules at 1600MHz... they're not halved or added or anything like that. I've run multiple separate RAM kits and they all work fine together. You always save money this way. The only thing you don't get are four consecutively serialized RAM modules together made from the same factory sheet or whatever.

You're probably gonna want to pair a CPU that fits the 2011 socket with that mobo. And you're probably gonna want to use the CPU required by the competition rules.

Marble's Box of Goodies
Processor: Intel Core i7-3930K $599.99

It's tough to choose components with only $600 after the CPU and MOBO, but I'm happy with my choices.
Best of luck to everyone who's entered, I've had a lot of fun and may the coolest system win!

A nice build for a cool $1461.91

The i5 2500k is socket 1155 not 2011, also your water cooler is nice but doesn't include coolant! :)

Order includes a free copy of dirt, and would have an extra 50.00 in mail in rebates that you'd most likely never see. ( I got plenty of artic silver, don't need more :)

Just checked Newegg, my HD was at the time of the build 54.99 but went to 94.99, making the new total 1491.91

My Winning Build
Processor: Intel Core i7-3930K-Combo price with CPU below
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth X79 Motherboard-$894.98
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16 GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1866-$109.99
Graphics Card: ASUS EAH6870 Radeon HD 6870 1 GB-$189.99

DVD Burner: LITE-ON DVD Burner-$18.99

Total = $1,496.90 after instant savings.

The cost of the CPU and Motherboard precluded using liquid cooling, however, the Hyper 212 series heat sink/fan has been a superb cooler, with more than enough headroom for overclocking. It also limited hard drive choices, eliminated SSD drives as an option, forced compromises on the case and power supply choices, in order to fit in a video card that would come close to matching the CPU. A second HD 6870 would have been nice for CrossfireX.

Graphics Card - ASUS GTX 550 Ti:
The 550 Ti is currently about 4% more expensive than the ASUS 6770 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121468 ), but is 7% faster overall (Source: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4221/nvidias-gtx-550-ti-coming-up-short-at-150/17 5770 = 6770), making it the obvious choice.

Power Supply - Corsair Builder Series CX430 V2 430W:
Jonny Guru Recommended from jonnyGURU.com - http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story5&reid=239
Also, just to ensure this is adequate power, this article shows a 550Ti and i7 920 @ 4ghz only pulling 262w at full load: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/41590-nvidia-geforce-gtx-550-ti-1gb-review-15.html
and the i7 920's have a higher TDP than the 3930k. This PSU will 100% work fine in this setup, even if heavily overclocked.
