Athlon Temp

Hi,
I have a Slot 1 athlon running at 650. The temprature monitor report it running at 50C. This seems very high, as friends with 850 athlons are running at 37C. Should I be worried.

Don't worry, it can go much higher than 50!
Do worry though, if y ou ever get above 65C.
There are many factors that could affect the heat dissipation of a cpu. In your case, I would say that your friend probably got a more efficient heat sink than you.

The heatsink that came with my machine was pretty crap. Do you think it would help any if I used Silicone paste, or would it be best just to dump the sink for a better one?
