A month ago I bought a dsl wireless router/modem. Now I want to disconnect my home phone. Is there any way I can use the router/modem without a home phone? Thanks for your help.

You don't need an actual phone for your modem to work. You can unplug your home phone safely and your modem will work fine. You will however have to keep paying for your phone line since your broadband is provided over the phone line.

Thank you for responding to my question regarding DSL modem/Router. I am going to disconnect my phone line and use a cell. And the internet will be regular highspeed wireless. I'm glad to know I can use the same modem/router. I just bought that one and didnt want to buy another. Thanks again

Thank you for responding to my question re: dsl modem/router. I am going to disconnect my phone line, and use only cell phone. Change my internet to highspeed wireless. Its good to know that I dont need to buy a different modem/router, since this one is so new. Thanks again.
