When I first had my windows XP and I connected my digital camera to the
computer I got an automatic window appear which allowed me to download the
photos and erase them from the camera, if I so desired. This window has now
disappeared, and I cannot find a way of bringing it back.
Any ideas?
Thanks

That ability is usually provided by software that comes with the
camera.

Run MSCONFIG to see if something has been turned off at startup

My Kodak camera runs a program at startup that puts an icon in the
running applications bar (lower right corner) so that SHOULD be
the same for your un-named camera

Also check, if you do have a camera software icon in the running
applications area, to see if you have somehow told it to NOT
auto-start on detecting a camera
